Who is Jesus Christ?
Jesus, fully God and fully man, lived a perfect life and willingly died on the cross to take the punishment we deserved. Three days later, He rose from the dead, proving His victory over sin and death. Through faith in Jesus—believing in Him, turning from sin, and trusting in His finished work—we are forgiven, made new, and given eternal life.
This is the good news: "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." - Romans 10:9-10

What is salvation?
Salvation is the act of being rescued from sin and its consequences—eternal separation from God—and being brought into a restored relationship with Him. At the heart of salvation is the Gospel, which means "good news." The Gospel is the message that, though humanity is broken by sin and cannot save itself, God made a way through Jesus Christ. Salvation is not earned by good works but is a gift of grace received by faith.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." - Ephesians 2:8–9

Salvation prayer
A salvation prayer (often called a sinner’s prayer) is a prayer someone might say when they desire to place their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. There’s no “official” or "perfect" words to pray—you can simply express your heart to God! If you need some help putting it into words, try praying the example below!
"Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, and I confess that He is my Lord! I believe that He died for my sins and that You raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do Your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen."
We want to celebrate with you!
If you received Jesus as your Savior today, we would also love to hear about it! You can fill out the Connect Card below to let us know that you made this decision today!

Next steps
At Faith Family Church, we are all about helping people take their next step. If you took the first step today of making Jesus your Lord and Savior, congratulations! Here are a few steps for you to take next:
1. Tell Someone
Share your decision with someone—preferably a Christian friend, pastor, or family member.
2. Be Baptized
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change. It symbolizes dying to your old life and being raised to new life in Christ (Romans 6:4). It’s also an act of obedience to Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19–20: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." - Romans 6:4
3. Start Reading the Bible
The Bible is one of the ways God speaks to us and teaches us how to follow Jesus. Begin with the Gospel of John or Mark—these are good introductions to who Jesus is. Try to read a little each day, asking God to help you understand and apply it.
4. Pray Regularly
Prayer is simply talking with God. You don’t need fancy words—just honesty. Thank Him, confess sins, ask for guidance, and bring your needs to Him. Prayer builds your relationship with God.
5. Find a Bible-believing Church
Surrounding yourself with other believers who can encourage, teach, and walk alongside you is a crucial step in your new walk with God. We weren't made to do life alone. Find a church in your area that you can get plugged into. If you're considering visiting Faith Family Church, we would love to be your new church family! We have services at the Milton Campus Sundays at 8am + 10am and at our Auburn Campus Sundays at noon. You can also listen to sermons online at any time.
