What is water baptism?
Simply put, baptism is an outward display and celebration of your inward decision to trust Christ with your eternity.
It’s an act of obedience, a step of acknowledgment that is representative of the fact that Jesus died on the cross, was buried and walked out of the grave, alive so we can have eternal life.
When you step into the water, you are letting the world know that you have walked into a new life of faith in Jesus Christ and that you are committing to follow Him down a new path. If you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus, baptism is the next step in your spiritual journey.

Can babies be baptized?
Because we believe baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, we wait to baptize children until they have personally expressed faith in Jesus as their Savior. There is no age restrictions on salvation, and we have seen many of our Faith Kids express faith in Jesus and be baptized at a young age!
We do have baby dedications twice a year, and parents can sign up using the Connect Card.

When should I get baptized in water?
You don’t need to wait to be baptized. Once you’ve accepted Jesus into your life, you can—and should—be baptized! Don’t wait until you feel “good enough.” If you’ve repented and believe Jesus is your Lord, then you’re ready to be baptized
Mark 16:16 – “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved.
Acts 2:38 – “Repent and be baptized…”

Why should I be baptized?
Baptism is an important step for every believer. Jesus Himself was baptized as an example for us to follow (Mark 1:9), and He commanded His followers to baptize others as part of making disciples (Matthew 28:19–20). It’s also a public way to show that your faith in Christ is real—just like the believers in Acts 18:8 who heard the message, believed, and were baptized. Baptism is not just a ritual; it’s a powerful declaration that you belong to Jesus.
What should I expect day-of?
Be sure to wear dark-colored shorts or pants and bring a full change of clothes, a towel, and a plastic bag for your wet items. Most importantly, invite your family and friends to celebrate this powerful step of faith with you! We’ll provide a baptism shirt for you to keep and a private place for you to change afterward.
